The Fort Atkinson Arts Council has announced it will provide funding in the area of emerging and innovative theater works written, directed or produced by individuals in the Fort Atkinson area. Two grants of $250 each will be given out on June 1st. The deadline for the grant application is Thursday, April 15. Madison-based pianist Jonathan Kuuskoski and award-winning saxophonist Chris Dickhaus are the Anhinga PianoSAX Duo, a new group devoted to performing innovative and engaging community concerts. The Tenant Resource Center has announced its 8th Annual Cookoff Hors D’Oeuvres competition on March 26th. The event is a fundraiser for its Housing Crisis Fund. Writing Lives is a new discussion group that looks at multimedia representations of queer women’s lives. The group is especially interested in discussing living queer lives in Madison, in Wisconsin, and in the Midwest more broadly. The group will meet on the first & third Mondays of the month at OutReach, Madison & south central Wisconsin’s LGBT Community Center at 1200 Williamson Street.
