Today at noon the Center for the History of Print Culture and others host “Julia Guarneri” of “Yale University’s” Department of History speaking on "Syndicates, Chains, and the Nationalizing of Milwaukee's Newspapers, 1880-1930." On-going Olbrich Botanical Gardens Bolz Conservatory features an exhibit entitled, “chocolate.” The exhibit highlights the journey from cacao tree seeds (also known as cocoa beans) to chocolate. The Catholic Multicultural Center provides free meals Monday through Friday at 4:00 in 1862 Beld Street. Call 661-3512 for details.

Evening Meals on Wheels needs volunteers to deliver hot, nutritious low-cost meals to older and differently abled people. Locations are flexible and the time commitment is about one hour per shift. For details call 274-7978.

The Parental Stress line helps prevent child abuse by connecting parents who are stressed or feeling alone with volunteers who talk with them by phone. Training is necessary. Call 241-4888 extension 26 for details.
