Pre-registration is available for Saturday’s Bluebird Class and Walk at the UW Arboretum, 1207 Seminole Highway. The 2 hour class begins at 10:30 and will include a Bluebird Walk along the 20-year-old bluebird trail in Longenecker Gardens. Participants will learn about the life of the bluebird, bluebird behavior, the reasons for bluebird decline, and the restoration efforts that are currently being employed. The Tenant Resource Center is seeking donations for its Housing Crisis Fund. The fund makes small grants to individuals and families who are at risk of losing their housing due to a temporary loss of income or large unexpected one-time expense. Donations to the fund can be made online at tenantresourcecenter.org or by calling 257-0143. Free counseling for tenants and landlords at 257-0006.

Margaret's Fund: A Scholarship for Northside Residents is accepting applications for its 2010 award. Any North side resident who is an adult returning to post-secondary school after an interruption in their education is invited to apply. The postmark deadline is April 23, 2010.
