Tonight at dusk, Madison Infoshop’s Summer Outdoor Movies Series will begin with a free screening of the Triplets of Belleville, plus a short about the upcoming World Naked Bike Ride. Saturday at 11:30 am, the Madison Trust for Historic Preservation will offer a tour of Mansion Hill East, Madison’s first historic district. Mansion Hill East was the destination of the movers and shakers of the 1850s. The fine sandstone homes they left behind and what happened as the neighborhood changed will be the focus of the tour which will start in the Edgewater Hotel Lobby, at the intersection of Langdon St., Wisconsin Ave and Lake Mendota. Saturday, at 6 pm at the Dane County Building, 210 Martin Luther King Boulevard, the Immigrant Workers’ Union will hold a vigil to protest Arizona’s immigration legislation. Saturday from 9 to 2, Fitchburg Fields Garden, 5335 Lacy Road, in Fitchburg will host another Garden Help day. Participants will continue to learn how to start and prep a garden, put in the spring seeds and cool weather plants, followed by other seeds as the days warm. Installation of bentwood trellises, making plant label markers and more will also be covered over several weeks of the program. Please park on Ballyduff.
