This evening the Central Madison Public Library and Madison Families for Better Nutrition host a showing of “2 Angry Moms" a documentary concerning what parents need to know and do to get school districts to move beyond junk food while providing healthy food kids enjoy. This evening on WORT’s Access Hour the host plays some rare “Band of Gypsys” music. The group is Jimi Hendrix's all African American line up. It is so-called “funky, cosmic, blues, rock”. That’s at 7:00. Call 256-2001 for details.

This evening the Madison Infoshop hosts the Muffin Club women’s health discussion group. This month’s topic is “Trans health and hormones.” The meeting is for women, trans and inter-sex people of all ages and walks of life. This is in 1019 Williamson Street at 7:00. Call 262-9036 for details.

This evening the School for Workers offers a workshop prior to South Central Federation of Labor’s monthly delegates meeting. This on is on “Workers and Immigration.” It will quote “build constructive discussions about the economic and political aspects of the immigration debate, and will separate myths from facts”. The Parental Stress line helps prevent child abuse by connecting parents who are stressed or feeling alone with volunteers who talk with them by phone. Training is necessary. Call 241-4888 extension 26 for details.

The Respite Center is a safe place for kids, ages birth to fourteen, whose families are under stress or in crisis. They are looking for volunteers to play with kids four hours a week. Training is required. Call 244-5730 for details.
