While its new facility is under construction, the Madison Children Museum is taking its exhibits on the road to community centers and events throughout south central Wisconsin. Today it will offer Dig Into Dinosaurs from 2:15 to 4 PM at the Sun Prairie Parks and Recreation, 300 E. Main St in Sun Prairie. Another wildflower walk will be offered by Good Oak Nursery this evening at 5:30. Early Prairie Wildflowers of Koltes Prairie & Westport Drumlin are on the agenda. The public is invited to take a hike through prairie remnants just a few miles out of town and observe shooting star, wild geranium, prairie phlox, prairie violet, hoary pucoon and many other flowers in bloom. Tonight at 6pm, a Same Sex Parents Group will meet at the Outreach Center, 600 Williamson St. The meeting is aimed at LGBT community members interested in conceiving, adopting, fostering, or otherwise creating a family. Only adults are invited to the meeting. More info at 255-8582.

The Alliance for Animals is offering free yard signs to anyone in the community who wishes to display support for a resolution to form a citizens advisory panel to study the ethical issue of experimenting on thousands of monkeys in Dane County. Tomorrow morning at 10:30, there will be a meeting for all interested supporters of the Take Back the Land Movement at the Neighborhood House, 29 S. Mills St.
