Tonight there is a free writing and journaling workshop titled, “Stirring the Soul: Writing Little Stories of Caring”.  This will be at Willy Street Coop West, 6825 University Ave. in Middleton at 7:00 PM.  The program is free and all are welcome.  Call 223-4376 for details.

Also at 7pm, there will be a panel discussion titled, “Journalism Ethics in the Time of Recall”
with Journalism reporter Bill Lueders and UW School of Journalism & Mass Communication's Katy Culver as well as editors of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and Wisconsin State Journal.  This is in room Room B1A of the Lowell Center, 610 Langdon St. at 7pm.  Call 252-6145 for event information.

Absentee voting is now taking place in advance of the June 5th election. Madison residents can vote absentee in person at the City County Building downtown. Hours are 8AM to 7PM, through Friday, June 1st.  Call the GAB Toll-Free Voter Help Line at 1-866-VOTE-WIS for state wide voting information or locally at cityofmadison.com/clerk

In preparation for the “Procession of the Species” parade on June 23rd, there will be a Giant Puppet & Mask-Making Workshop.  This will be at the Lucky Mojo Studio, 2717 Atwood Ave, from noon-4 pm Saturdays and 6-9 pm on Wednesdays.
