There will be a free screening of the award-winning 2011 documentary “Hot Coffee”.  This is about the McDonald’s coffee case and the coordinated corporate attacks on our civil justice system. “Comics for Cause” is a fundraiser for Porchlight, Incorporated.  All proceeds go to help Porchlight fight homelessness in Madison. This starts at 8pm at the The Comedy Club, 202 State St.  Call 256-0099 for reservations. Absentee voting is now taking place in advance of the June 5th election. Madison residents can vote absentee in person at the City County Building downtown. Hours are 8AM to 7PM, through Friday, June 1st.  Call the GAB Toll-Free Voter Help Line at 1-866-VOTE-WIS for state wide voting information or locally at cityofmadison.com/clerk

Now through Thurs. May 31st there is a showing of “Protest Art and Photography” featuring over 100 pieces of art and photography created by Michael Martin and Michael Matheson to protest the Walker administration.  This is at the Social Justice Center, 1202 Williamson St.
