PFLAG’s monthly meeting will be held on Sunday, from 2:15-4pm, at the Friends Meeting House at 1704 Roberts Ct.  The meeting is free to all. The program topic will be ‘Teens Like Us, A group that helps LGBT youth’ and our discussion will focus on how teens tell siblings and parents about LGBT orientation. The 13th annual “Tour de Timor” sister-city bike ride will roll on Sunday, starting at 1:00 pm at the WORT Block Party, near the corner of Bedford and Doty Streets in Madison.  This year's ride falls on the tenth anniversary of East Timor's independence; May 20 is a national holiday there called "Independence Restoration Day."  More information and pledge sheets can be found at www.aideasttimor.org.

You’ve heard of Art Fair on the Square and Concerts on the Square, but this is the 2nd annual Dogs on the Square!  The event to benefit the Madison Police Department’s Canine Unit, who keeps our community safe, will be held on Sunday, from noon to 3 p.m.  The general public and all of their tail-wagging, four-legged friends are invited.  Advance registration is cheaper per dog than the day of the event.  To register and review all the rules and guidelines visit:  www.dogsonthesquare.com.  

 Wisconsin Network for Peace and Justice is sending a bus to Chicago to join in a  arge, family-friendly march  to protest the summit meeting lof NATO, the U.S.-led military alliance behind the war in Afghanistan which now accounts for  nearly two-thirds of world military spending and  more than 60% of global arms sales. The WNPJ bus will leave the UW-Madison Memorial Union at 8:30am on Sunday, and return by 8pm the same day. The bus will also stop to pick up riders in Janesville.
