It’s Bike to Work Week here in Madison and the Wisconsin Bike Fed will host a group ride tonight, starting at 5:30pm from the Wil-Mar Center, 953 Jenifer Street. See how easy and fun it is to go by bike for work or for errands, and earn a $20 voucher for the East Side Trek Store!

Tomorrow morning from 7-10am, is the Wisconsin Bike Federation’s 6th Annual Bacon on the Bike Path! The commuter station will be located on the bike path along Lake Monona between the Monona Terrace and Broom Street. There will also be bike tech support provided by Willy Street Bikes and fresh coffee from Just Coffee. This is a free event and is a part of the week-long Bike to Work Week festivities.  Visit the Bike Federation online at bfw.org for more information for events all week long.

Every weekday at noon the “Wisconsin Network for Peace and Justice” hosts a “Solidarity Sing-a-long” at the Wisconsin State Capitol building. Song books will be provided. Call 250-9240 for details.

The Clean Sweep Hazardous Waste Site has new summer hours.  Hours of operation are Tuesdays through Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  The site is located on 2302 Fish Hatchery Road.  During redesign/reconstruction of Fish Hatchery Road, please use the Badger Road entrance.
