Take advantage of Madison's bike-friendly streets this week during Bike to Work Week, May 14th through 18th, hosted by the Wisconsin Bike Fed.  Grab coffee and a treat at one of our morning commuter stations from 7:30 to 9:30am all week long.  Find station locations and details online at www.bfw.org.  Go by bike all week for your health, for your budget and for fun!
Social Justice Center is having a 12th Birthday Celebration, tonight at the Goodman Community Center, 149 Waubesa Street, from 5 to 7:30 pm. The 2012 Social Justice Award recipients will be honored;  The Legacy Award won by Charles and Constance Smalley, and the Visionary Award won by the Teaching Assistants Association (TAA). Light hors d'ouevres and cash bar throughout the evening. Master of ceremony for the evening will be Ruth Conniff, Political editor, The Progressive Magazine.  There will be a suggested donation collected at the door. Call 227-0206 for more information.

Second Harvest Foodbank is seeking help year round for food sorting & repacking! Three hour shifts available 9 am -7 pm weekdays.  Applications are available at www.secondharvestmadison.org or call 216-7214.
The Clean Sweep Hazardous Waste Site has new summer hours.  Hours of operation are Tuesdays through Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  The site is located on 2302 Fish Hatchery Road.  During redesign/reconstruction of Fish Hatchery Road, please use the Badger Road entrance.  
Socrates Cafe, an informal philosophy discussion group, is having a meeting tonight at Redamte Coffee House, 449 State Street at 7pm.  Tonight's topic question is "Why is laziness one of the seven deadly sins?"  Call Randy at 630-1011 for more information.
