It’s Today’s Action Calendar!

Today is ELECTION DAY!  Please go out and vote for governor and lieutenant governor.   Polls are open from 7am until 8pm.  Call the GAB Toll-Free Voter Help Line at 1-866-VOTE-WIS for state wide voting information or locally at 266-4601 or go to www.cityofmadison.com/clerk

The public is invited to attend the exhibit titled "Penokee [Pee-no-key]: Explore the Iron Hills" on the 2nd floor of the State Capitol Rotunda in Madison June 2nd to June 10th. This exhibit will includes works by 20 artists along with metallic mining history, natural history, geology, and cultural and Native American perspectives about the Penokee Mountain Range of Northern Wisconsin.

Join the Aldo Leopold Nature Center as part of  “Take a Stake in the Lakes Days”  This is a day of outdoor fun to maintain and restore the Nature Center's grounds; which include a prairie, forest, pond, wetlands, and Oak Savannah.  This is at the Aldo Leopold Nature Center, 330 Femrite Drive in Monona from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm.  Contact Alanna Medearis at 216-9374 to RSVP.  For general information on all events go to www.takeastakeinthelakes.com or call 224-3601.

The Clean Sweep Hazardous Waste Site has new summer hours.  Hours of operation are Tuesdays through Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  The site is located on 2302 Fish Hatchery Road.  During redesign/reconstruction of Fish Hatchery Road, please use the Badger Road entrance.
