25th Annual Take a Stake in the Lakes Clean-Up Event
is on Saturday from 9am to noon. Clean
ups are taking place at Dane
County Lake,
the Token Creek Water Trail and at Cherokee Marsh. Volunteers are welcome! Spring cleaning for
the lakes includes cleaning shorelines, hauling weeds, marking storm drains and
more. This is on and near Lakes from 9

The
Arboretum Wingra Oak Savanna Work Party meets tomorrow to help improve native
habitat and help native plants in an oak savanna near the shore of Lake
Wingra. Volunteers are welcome! This is from 9 a.m.-noon at the Wingra Oak
Savanna at the UW Arboretum. Meet at the parking lot on Arbor Drive, just off Monroe Street. For more information contact Marian Farrior

In
preparation for the “Procession of the Species” parade on June 23rd,
there will be a Giant Puppet & Mask-Making Workshop. This will be at
the Lucky Mojo Studio, 2717 Atwood Ave, from noon-4 pm
Saturdays and 6-9 pm on Wednesdays. No registration is needed and it is

Saturday is the “Dane County Breakfast on the Farm”
including fun, family-friendly activities including a full breakfast,
horse-drawn wagon rides, face painting, music and learn how farmers participate
in an experiment to improve water quality. This is at the Kellercrest farm, 1141 County

Also on Saturday is the Isthmus Sailboards Paddle
for the Polar Bears. Paddle for Polar
Bears is a lesson-based benefit to learn how to ‘Stand Up Paddle (SUP)’. All equipment is included. 50% of the proceeds go to building the new,
state-of-the-art Arctic Passage. Lessons
are at 9:30 am, 11:00 am, or 12:30 pm at Wingra Park,
824 Knickerbocker Street.

fools” on the Yahara
