This afternoon the A.E. Havens Center sponsors a talk with Stephen Ball from the Institute of Education at the University of London. He will speak on ”Neo-Liberal Networks of Education Reform: Ideology plus Influence equal Profit This is in room 8417 of the Social Science building at 4:00. Call 262-1420 for details.

This evening the “International Socialist Organization” hosts a discussion entitled, "Revolution in the twenty-first Century." The featured speaker is Ahmed Shawki, editor of “The International Socialist Review.” This is at 7:00 in room 1101 of the Humanities building. Call 492-1053 for details.

This evening the University School for Workers hosts a University of Wisconsin Law School Forum. It is entitled, "The Role of Organized Labor in a Democracy." This is at 6:00 in the University of Wisconsin, Madison Law School building, room 2260. Call 262-2112 for details.

The Interfaith Coalition for Worker Justice and Madison Urban Ministry have organized nightly vigils sponsored by different faith communities at the State Capitol. Call 255-0376 or 256-0906 for details.

Weekdays through April 29 the Wisconsin Network for Peace and Justice holds an open “solidarity sing-a-long.” This is weekday from noon until 1:00 in the Capitol Rotunda. Songbooks will be provided. Call 250-9240 for details.

“Volunteer Income Tax Assistance” and “Taxpayer Counseling for the Elderly” of the “Internal Revenue Service” and others provide income tax assistance to low-income, differently-abled, non-English speaking, or elderly people.
