“Volunteer Income Tax Assistance” and “Taxpayer Counseling for the Elderly” of the Internal Revenue Service provide income tax assistance to low-income, differently-abled, non-English speaking, or elderly people. The Urban League’s “Schools of Hope” program is looking for volunteers. Participants will tutor at-risk elementary, middle and high school students with homework, organization, time management and study skills. For details call 251-8550.

“Dane County Friends of Ferals” needs homes for outdoor cats. You provide food, water and shelter, and for a small fee, the cats are delivered to your door. They are neutered or spayed, vaccinated, dewormed and tested for “Feline Leukemia Virus” and “Feline Immunodeficiency Virus”. Call 467-4067 for details
