This afternoon the A.E. Havens Center presents a talk with Nancy Folbre of the Department of Economics at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. She will talk on “The Capitalist Trajectory.” It is at 4:00 in room 206 of Ingraham Hall. Call 262-1420 for details.

Tomorrow morning the Wisconsin Network for Peace and Justice (WNPJ) holds a “Grassroots Lobby Day.” State Senator and WNPJ co-founder Fred Risser will open the multi-issue lobby day. Among other items participants will meet with state representatives to discuss new nuclear reactors and prison reform. On-going the James Watrous Gallery hosts an exhibit entitled, “Wisconsin Labor: A Contemporary Portrait”.  The exhibit uses photographs by six artists to examine the diversity of Wisconsin’s labor force.  This is at the Overture Center, 201 State Street through April 10 and will include several gallery talks.
