Tomorrow morning, there is a presentation to organize and launch the Madison chapter of Citizens Climate Lobby. Mark Reynolds, executive director of Citizens Climate Lobby, will lead the presentation and training to give concerned citizens the tools they need to make their voices heard by decision-makers in Washington. Tomorrow, the Wisconsin Network for Peace and Justice - or WNPJ - hosts a 20th Anniversary Reception. CODEPINK and Global Exchange co-founder Medea Benjamin, and former state Representative and WNPJ co-founder Frank Boyle are the featured speakers. WNPJ will also honor the more than 50 people who attended the 1991 founding meeting and are still WNPJ members today. This is free and open to the public. Sunday, the Covenant Presbyterian Church hosts Dr. Mark Achtemeier, who will teach a class entitled “Homosexuality & The Bible”. This class will examine how different groups appeal to the Bible to support their views on homosexuality. The focus will be on understanding different ways the Bible is employed in this discussion, rather than debating the merits of particular positions.
