This evening the downtown branch of the “Madison Public Library” hosts an art exhibition opening. It is entitled, “The Beast in Me.” In it ten artists explore how the categories “human” and “animal” intersect and overlap. This is at 5:00 in 201 West Mifflin Street. Call 243-1385 for details.
 
This evening “Outreach’s” GLBT group, “Q Cinema” presents the film, “Unveiled.” It is about a woman, “Fariba” threatened with prosecution for loving a woman. Therefore, she assumes a dead man's identity in order to survive. This is at 6:30 in 600 Williamson Street. It is for people ages eighteen and up. Call 255-8582 for details.
 
This evening Madison Infoshop and others present “Verónica Leyva”, community organizer and native of Ciudad Juárez, and “Tony Nelson”, representative from the Mexico-United States Solidarity Network. They will speak on cities along the Mexican and United States border struggling to survive. This is at 7:00 in the Memorial Union. Check Today in the Union for the room location. “Lifepoint” needle exchange program is associated with the “AIDS Resource Center in Wisconsin.” It prevents the spread of HIV by trading used needles for clean ones. They are anonymous, free and mobile. They offer HIV and Hepatitis C testing. In Madison participants may call 332-6169 for details.
 
"The “Wheelchair Recycling Program” offers low cost, refurbished mobility and medical equipment to people that may not have the resources to obtain them new. This can include wheelchairs, walkers, bath items, grab bars and other assistive equipment for purchase. There are offices in Madison and the Greater-Milwaukee area.
