This afternoon the “Meadowridge” library hosts a chess club. Participants may learn to play chess or find someone to play with. People of all skill levels are welcome. No registration is required. This is in the “Robinson Room” of 5740 Raymond Road at 3:00. Call 288-6160 for details.

This evening the downtown public library hosts an art show. It is described as quote “ten contemporary artists exploring how the categories of "human" and "animal" intersect and overlap, often in provocative and unsettling ways”. It is called “The Beast in Me.” This is in 201 West Mifflin Street from 5:00 to 7:30. Call 243-1385 for details.

This evening the “Lakeview” library hosts a drop in knitting group. Participants can quote “learn a new craft or work on that unfinished project.” This is a 6:30 in 2845 north Sherman Avenue. Call 246-4547 for details. This is an on-going event.

Lifepoint” needle exchange program is associated with the “AIDS Resource Center in Wisconsin.” It prevents the spread of HIV by trading used needles for clean ones. They are anonymous, free and mobile. They offer HIV and Hepatitis C testing. In Madison participants may call 332-6169 for details.

"The “Wheelchair Recycling Program” offers low cost, refurbished mobility and medical equipment to people that may not have the resources to obtain them new. This can include wheelchairs, walkers, bath items, grab bars and other assistive equipment for purchase. There are offices in Madison and the Greater-Milwaukee area.
