This evening, John Nichols of The Nation, Matt Rothschild of The Progressive and Nicole Colson from Socialist Worker discuss “WikiLeaks: Exposing the Empire”. This event is sponsored by the International Socialist Organization and Rainbow Bookstore Cooperative. All donations will be split between Haymarket Books and the Bradley Manning Support Network. Each Friday, International Outreach hosts an English conversation time for international students, native English speakers and families. Activities include short presentations on American and world cultures, English pronunciation, idioms, informal conversation, music, games and short movies. Light refreshments are be served. Tonight, Project Lodge hosts the Crosshatxh Poetry Show continues with Timothy Yu, Ron Czerwien, Andy Gricevich and Kelsey Van Ert. Beginning February 1, Hawthorne Library offers Computer Skills Classes. The classes will teach skills on word processing, web browsers, mobile phone basics, Craigslist, spreadsheets and more. People who cannot afford a lawyer or are not qualified for free legal representation can get help. They can call the University of Wisconsin Law School’s Consumer Law Clinic at 263-6283.
