This weekend, the Young Shakespeare Players continues their dramatic reading of Charles Dickens' novel “Bleak House”. The Young Shakespeare Players is a non-profit theater program for ages 7 & up. They perform full-length plays by Shakespeare & G.B. Shaw year-round, along with works by Charles Dickens and workshops of scenes by Shakespeare. The performances are
today at 6 pm, tomorrow at 1 & 6 pm, and Sunday at 4:30 pm. The performances are at the Young Shakespeare Players Playhouse, 1806 West Lawn Avenue near Spooner, Monroe & Trader Joe’s. Check ysp.org for more information.

Sunday morning, there is the “Food, Faith, and Farming panel”. Speakers include Miriam Grunes, REAP Food Group; David Perkins, Madison Area Community Supported Agriculture Coalition; John Peck, Family Farm Defenders; and Tom Nelson, Churches Center for Land and People. This is at Madison Christian Community, 7118 Old Sauk Road, at 9 am.

Sunday, Healthy U hosts a Games and Activites day. This includes soup making and tasting, ambulance tours, art projects, yoga sessions and much more. UW atheletes will make a special appearance. This is at the Goodman Community Center, 146 Waubesa Street, from 2 to 5. For more information including which organizations will be there, check goodmancenter.org.

Sunday, Matthew Rothschild, editor of The Progressive magazine, will speak about "Martin Luther King and the U.S. Empire". This is at the Spring Green Elementary School library, 830 West Daley Street in Spring Green at 2.
