Tonight, the Wisconsin Network for Peace and Justice host Gil Halsted, who will speak on “The State of Wisconsin's Prisons”. Participants are asked to bring a new soft cover book to sent to an inmate as part of the Wisconsin Books to Prisoners Project. This is at Luke House, 310 South Ingersoll Street, at 7:30. Starting tonight, Strollers Theatre presents “The Norman Conquests”. The trilogy of comical plays features six characters including lover-boy Norman, his logical wife Ruth, her brother Reg and his uptight wife Sarah, and Ruth’s put-upon sister Annie and Annie’s seemingly clueless love interest and neighbor Tom. “The Norman Conquests” runs January 13 through February 12 on the Evjue Stage at the Bartell Theatre, 113 East Mifflin Street, Madison.
