 This afternoon the “Meadowridge” library hosts a chess club. Participants may learn to play chess or find someone to play with. People of all skill levels are welcome. No registration is required. This is in the “Robinson Room” of 5740 Raymond Road at 3:00. Call 288-6160 for details.
 
This evening the “Lakeview” library hosts a drop in knitting group. Participants can quote “learn a new craft or work on that unfinished project.” This is a 6:30 in 2845 north Sherman Avenue. Call 246-4547 for details.

“Networks Exchange,” needle replacement program is an authorized, anonymous, community harm reduction plan. It is associated with the “AIDS Network.” They are open weekdays from 10:00 to 6:30. For details call 516-2158.
 
Low cost spayings and neuterings for dogs and cats are available through the Dane County Humane Society. There are various times and prices and they include an FVRCP (or Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis) vaccine. Caretakers of feral or free-roaming cats can be helped as well.
