This evening the Goodman South Madison Branch library hosts a free knitting workshop. Participants may bring that unfinished project or start something new. Some supplies may be available. This is at 6:00 in 2222 South Park Street, meeting room 115. Call 266-6395 for details.

From now through January second the “NECA” (National Electrical Contractors Association), the “International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers” (IBEW) and others have constructed the “Holiday Fantasy in Lights.” These are light pictures of a bulldozer, Santa and his sleigh, a Menorah and other holiday items. The Catholic Multicultural Center provides free meals Monday through Friday at 4:00 in 1862 Beld Street. Call 661-3512 for details.

Domestic Abuse Intervention Services is a non-profit agency dedicated to ending violence in the lives of domestic abuse victims and their children. They are currently looking for volunteers. To volunteer or get help call 251-1237 or the crises line at 251-4445.
