This afternoon the “Meadowridge” library hosts a chess club. Participants may learn to play chess or find someone to play with. People of all skill levels are welcome. No registration is required. This is in the “Robinson Room” of 5740 Raymond Road at 3:00. Call 288-6160 for details.

This evening Outreach’s “Q-Cinema” features a screening of the Israeli film “Eyes Wide Open.” It is about the love between an Orthodox Jewish father of four and a nineteen year-old, homeless, Yeshiva student. This is at 6:30 in 600 Williamson Street. Call 255-8582 for details.

This evening the “Lakeview” library hosts a drop in knitting group. Participants can quote “learn a new craft or work on that unfinished project.” This is a 6:30 in 2845 north Sherman Avenue. Call 246-4547 for details. This is an on-going event.

This evening the Madison-Rafah Sister City Project and others host, Gal Lugossi of the "Shiministim" youth war resisters. She is on a national speaking tour for the “Anarchists Against the Wall” action group. She will speak on "Israel's Apartheid Wall and the Fight to Stop It."
