Tomorrow at noon on WORT’s A Public Affair host Brenda Konkel’s topic is the “Move to Amend Coalition.” She will be talking about the referendum on speech as money and corporate personhood. Call 256-5001 for details.
 
The Urban League’s “Schools of Hope” program has a desperate need and many volunteer opportunities available for people. Participants will tutor at-risk elementary, middle and high school students with homework, organization, time management and study skills. For details call 251-8550.
 
On-going the James Watrous Gallery hosts an exhibit entitled, “Wisconsin Labor: A Contemporary Portrait”.  The exhibit uses photographs by six artists to examine the diversity of Wisconsin’s labor force.  This is at the Overture Center, 201 State Street through April 10 and will include several gallery talks. From today through February twenty-sixth “Mother Fool’s” Coffeehouse hosts an art exhibit. It is co-sponsored by the “South Central Wisconsin Move to Amend” group and others. This is entitled, “Corporations are Persons Now”. In it artists respond to the shock of corporate governance brought on by the 2010 Supreme Court decision known as “Citizens United.” This is at 1101
