This evening the Madison Area Peace Coalition meets to discuss events of the day and plan action. Their mission is to organize a broad-based movement to inform public opinion and promote United States government policies that truly further peace, justice, and freedom in the world. This evening Olbrich Gardens holds the next in their Concerts in the Gardens series. This segment is the group, “Rigel” doing “Celtic Rock.” It is at 7:00 in 3330 Atwood Avenue. Call 246-4550 for details. Concerts are on-going through July.

The Insurgent Radio Kiosk needs a volunteer co-producer, engineers and readers. They take as little as three to five hours weekly. Interested people should call the station at 256-2001 and leave a message of interest for the Kiosk.

The Women and Infant Children Nutrition program offers a wide variety of services, food and nutrition information to help keep pregnant and breastfeeding women, infants and children less than five years of age healthy and strong. For details call 267-1111.

Evening Meals on Wheels needs volunteers to deliver hot, nutritious low-cost meals to older and differently abled people. Locations are flexible and the time commitment is about one hour per shift. For details call 276-7598.

Catholic Charities announces the “Caring for Myself” Program. It is an education program designed to support the health and well-being of African American primary caregivers of children with developmental disabilities. Please contact Marian Slaughter 256-2358 to get or give help.
