This weekend, Anthology and Absolutely Art will co-host a Studio Garage Sale featuring donated craft supplies such as fabric and ribbon scraps, buttons,1960’s magazines and other odds ‘n ends. Proceeds benefit local children’s art programs such as the Art Cart, Shirts That Supply, Lussier Center & Monroe Street Fine Arts Center. This is in front of Anthology, 218 State Street, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Tomorrow, the Workers’ Rights Center holds its Annual Meeting. The meeting features an update about the ongoing campaign at Taco Bell and a report about the new Healthy and Safe Workplaces campaign and initial findings of our community surveying efforts, and small group discussions to plan and strategize for the coming year. Lunch from El Pastor will be provided, followed by a march up the street to the Taco Bell to rally and hold a short press conference. This is from 9 to noon at the “Villager Mall”, 2300 South Park Street. RSVP at 255-0376 or worker1@sbcglobal.net.

Sunday, there is a White Anti-Racist Monthly Dialogue entitled “Finding Our Roles”. The gathering seeks to educate participants to be strong anti-racist allies in the community. Sunday, OutThere hosts a gathering at OutReach. OutThere is an LGBTQA group for young adults ages 18-24 whose goal is to create a safe space & group for younger LGBTA people to meet one another, socialize, gain support, and to provide resources to the community.
