This evening the Muffin Club women’s health discussion group meets. They are open to all women, trans and intersex people. This is at 7:00 in the Madison Infoshop, 1019 Williamson Street. Call 262-9036 for details.

This evening the Lakeview Public Library holds a meeting of a chess club. It is open to people of all ages and skill levels on the second and fourth Monday’s of every month. It is at 6:00 in 2845 North Sherman Avenue. Call 246-4547 for details.

Tonight Genderqueer Madison will be meeting to plan public art and performance projects that quote “combat transphobia and celebrate gender non-conforming people in Madison”. People who are trans, genderqueers and allies are welcome. This is at 8:00 in the Gateway Mall, 600 Williamson Street. Call 255-8582 for details.

The Parental Stress line helps prevent child abuse by connecting parents who are stressed or feeling alone with volunteers who talk with them by phone. Training is necessary. Call 241-4888 extension 26 for details.

The Rape Crises Center is a non-profit community organization for people who need support and information after experiencing or being close to someone sexual assaulted in the past or recently.
