This evening on WORT’s Access Hour there is a program focusing on “PKFR International”, a free-running movement like street gymnastics or urban acrobatics. It features the spoken word art of Aaron Borns, an eighteen-year old Italian-Indian freerunning phenom and movement leader. This is at 7:00. Call 256-2001 for details.

This evening Madison Public Library’s South Madison branch hosts a free knitting workshop. Attendees may learn to knit or bring their current project to work on. Some loaner supplies available for beginning knitting. This is in 2222 South Park Street at 6:00. Call 266-6395 for details.

Tomorrow at noon on WORT’s A Public Affair host Cynthia Lin speaks with T. K. Karakashian Tunchez, organizer of the “New Mythos Project.” It is a network of "radical mothers, community caregivers and others”. Call 256-2001 for details.

The Alliance for Animals has volunteer opportunities to help animals. These might include tabling at the Farmer’s Market, distributing pro-animal literature or joining the Antivivisection Committee. For details visit allanimals.org or call 257-6333.

"The “Wheelchair Recycling Program” offers low cost, refurbished mobility and medical equipment to people that may not have the resources to obtain new. This can include wheelchairs, walkers, bath items, grab bars and other assistive equipment for purchase. There are offices in Madison and the Greater-Milwaukee area. The Respite Center is a safe place for kids, ages birth to fourteen, whose families are under stress or in crisis. They are looking for volunteers to play with kids four hours a week. Training is required. Call 244-5730 for details.
