Tonight, the National Organization of Women holds a social. Attendees can meet Emily Reynolds, President of Wisconsin NOW, Stephanie Wright, President of Madison NOW, as well as other NOW officers, current and prospective members, and supporters of all kinds, to socialize, and also to organize the 90th Anniversary of Woman Suffrage Celebration on August 26, 2010. Madison NOW is a grassroots organization that works to bring about equality for the women of Wisconsin. This is at Michelangelo's Coffeeshop, 114 State Street, at 7:30. This weekend is the Kickapoo Country Fair in La Farge, WI. This featuresspeakers, workshops, informational booths, chef demos, book readings, music, kids activities. Advance weekend tickets are for sale online. Check kickapoocountryfair.org for more information.

This weekend, Broom Street Theater, in conjunction with Proud Theater, holds a one weekend only production of Proud Theater: Decade, the tenth anniversary show of Madison’s LGBT youth theater group. The performance presents selections from each of the ten years of its performances, with selections that represent key moments in that history. This is Friday and Saturday at 8 pm and Sunday at 2 pm. This weekend, the Young Shakespeare Players stage Macbeth. The Young Shakespeare Players is a children's theater program in young people perform full-length works of Shakespeare. Any child of approximately the right age may take part simply by registering. Every young participant receives one or more speaking roles.
