Tonight, the Madison Bahá’í Center hosts Gene and Phyllis Unterschuetz who will speak on Race Unity. They will speak on their book “Longing: Stories of Racial Healing” in which they describe their challenging of their racial conditioning. This is at the Madison Bahá’í Center, 324 West Lakeside, from 7 to 9. Check bahaicentermadison.org for more information.

Tomorrow, Community Action Coalition for South Central WI and the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin hosts a for a free bike tour of four Madison and Monona community and food pantry gardens. This features East High Youth Farm, the Glendale Elementary school garden, and St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, with lunch provided at the last location. This begins at East Youth High Farm, off Milwaukee Street on Lamplighter Way, behind Kennedy School and Park, at 9 am. For more information, check www.cacscw.org or call the Coalition at 246-4730.

Tomorrow, Madison Trust for Historic Preservation holds a walking tour of Madison’s historic neighborhoods. The interactive tours are given by experienced guides and conclude with a free treat at a local restaurant. The State Street tour begins at 10 am and meets in front of Michelangelo’s Coffee House, 114 State Street, the University Heights tour begins at 11 am and meets at the corner of Prospect and Van Hise Avenues, and the Historic East Isthmus bike tour begins at 1 pm and meets behind the Machinery Row building, 601 Williamson Street. Tomorrow, Women4Women meet to watch and discuss the new film “The Kids Are All Right”. The film follows a lesbian couple raising two teenage kids and what happens after the kids seek out their sperm donor father. The group meets at Sundance Cinemas, 430 North Midvale Avenue at Hilldale Mall, at 1 for the 1:25 matinee with a conversation following over coffee or dinner.
