Registration for Madison Public Library’s Summer Reading Club has begun. Preschoolers through teens are invited to join the Summer Reading Club in person at any Madison Public Library location or online at www.madisonpubliclibrary.org/youth. Registration continues throughout the summer for this self-paced reading club.

The Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra is seeking volunteer workers for this summer’s Concerts on the Square series on Wednesdays from June 30 through August 4th. More info at 257-0638 or online at wcoconcerts.org

Today from 3 to 9, the public is invited to attend the Celebrate South Madison Festival at newly redeveloped Villager Mall on South Park St. The event will bring art, music, film, dance, and poetry together with gardening, cooking, and eating, to create a rich inclusive experience. Tomorrow night begins MMOCA’s fifth Rooftop Cinema series, presenting avant-garde films under the stars. The evening starts with a 6:30 pm gallery talk with Triennial artist Kim Cridler, followed by music by Chick Singer from 7 to 9 pm. The films will begin after sunset, at approximately 9:30 pm. The International Socialist Organization has announced the next conference “Socialism 2010” scheduled for June 17th through the 20th in Chicago and July 1st through 4th in Oakland, CA. More info at socialismconference.org

Bi Intention, a new support group for bisexuals and allies is forming this month. The new group will include discussion nights, support group nights and social outings in the Madison area.
