Saturday at 8 pm, Mother Fools Coffee House, 1101 Williamson St, will host The People’s Slam, an open mic night honoring Howard Zinn and the agitators, organizers and radicals who shaped U.S. history. Participants are invited to bring their favorite speech, poem or song and help keep the grassroots progressive change from the bottom up tradition alive. The event is sponsored by the International Socialist Organization.

Sat. June 5th 12:00 Noon - 5:00 pm 2717 Atwood Ave. (old Atwood Community Center) Giant Puppet and Mask Making Workshop for the Procession of Species Parade to be held June 20th! We will be painting a giant puppet owl head, sculpting the bison puppet's face, and working on a bowler hat for the Charles Darwin puppet.
