There is a free computer lab in the Catholic Multicultural Center. It is available weekdays from 9:00-5:30 at 1862 Beld Street. Lab Users must always show a photo ID and take an orientation the first time. Call 255-1287 for details.

Wednesday evening the Madison Professional Employees Union and South Central Federation of Labor (SCFL) hold a public screening of the film,'At the River I Stand." It documents the Memphis sanitation workers strike of 1968. This is at 5:00 in the Meadowridge Public Library,5740 Raymond Road. Call 241-9232 for details and a list of other showings.

Wednesday evening the group, "Madison Chapter of the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF)" hosts a panel discussion entitled, "Water Wealth or Water Woes? - Considering the Water Legacy We Leave our Grandchildren". Panelists include Will Hoyer of "Clean Wisconsin" talking about a water conservation plan for Madison, This is in the South Madison Police Precinct, 815 Hughes Place at 6:45. Outreach is looking for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgemder (lgbt) friendly babysitters. Parents who need a referral or babysitters who are lgbt friendly or people interested in sitting should call 255-8582 for details.

The Home Chore Volunteer Program, is seeking volunteers to help older people by doing household chores, such as snow shoveling, that may be difficult for them, making living at home impossible. Call 223-3100 for more information, or, to volunteer.

The Respite Center is a safe place for kids, ages birth to fourteen, whose families are under stress or in crisis. They are looking for volunteers to play with kids four hours a week. Training is required. Call Molly at 244-5730 for details.
