Monday evening on WORT's Access Hour the Madison Astronomical Society presents a program on amateur astronomy. This is in anticipation of the coming total lunar eclipse. This is at 7:00. Call 256-2001 for details.

Monday evening there is a Regent Neighborhood Poetry Club meeting. The focus is on love poems which are self-authored or written by another person. This is at the "Froth House", 11 North Allen Street. For details call 231-0100

Monday evening the Madison Professional Employees Union and South Central Federation of Labor (SCFL) hold a public screening of the film,'At the River I Stand." It documents the Memphis sanitation workers strike of 1968. This is at 5:00 in the downtown branch of the Madison Public Library, 201 West Mifflin Street. Monday evening there is a "community police meeting on crime. Featured participants include Madison Police Captain, Mary Schauf; Madison Neighborhood Liaison Officer and Alderperson Marsha Rummel, This is in the Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center, 953 Jenifer Street at 7:00. Call 772- 4555 for details.

Tuesday the Madison Children's Museum holds a drop-in program for kids from ages two to five years old. The art room holds informal art project events from 10:30 to 11:00 every Tuesday and Wednesday in 100 State Street. Call 256-6554 for details.
