The Wisconsin Labor History Society invites high school students to write an around seven hundred fifty word essay for a contest encouraging labor history study in schools. The topic is "Unions have been important to my family and community because..." There is a free computer lab in the Catholic Multicultural Center. It is available weekdays from 9:00-5:30 at 1862 Beld Street. Lab Users must always show a photo ID and take an orientation the first time. Call 255-1287 for details.

The Home Chore Volunteer Program, is seeking volunteers to help older people by doing household chores, such as snow shoveling, that may be difficult for them, making living at home impossible. Call 223-3100 for more information, or, to volunteer.
