Wednesday evening the Madison Infoshop hosts a screening of the documentary
"Trudell" which chronicles the life of Native American poet-prophet-activist-songwriter, John Trudell. This is at Escape Java Joint, 916 Williamson Street at 6:30. Call 256-9036 for details.

Wednesday evening Outreach hosts a meeting of Friends To Be With (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and queer)(LGBTQ) developmental disabilities social group meeting. This will include eating, chatting, and watching a surprise film. It is at 5:00 in 600 Williamson Street, Suite P-1. Call 255-8582 for details.

Wednesday evening Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center hosts “Tunes at Monona Terrace”. The featured band is the “Center Stage Variety Show Band”. They play hits from the ‘80’s on. This is in one John Nolen Drive at 5:30. Call 261-4000 for details.


The Home Chore Volunteer Program is seeking volunteers to help older people by doing household chores, such as yard work, that may be difficult for them, making living at home impossible. Call 223-3100 for more information, or, to volunteer.

The Respite Center is a safe place for kids, ages birth to fourteen, whose families are under stress or in crisis. They are looking for volunteers to play with kids four hours a week. Training is required. Call Molly at 244‑5730 for details.
