A local artist has found a way to combine his passions for environmental art, feeding the needy, working for peace and … grilling meat. The result is “Grillin’ for Peace,” to be held Saturday 10 AM to 1 PM on the ice of Lake Wingra, just off Vilas Park Beach. Tom Barry plans to arrange 53 “classic” Weber grills in a peace sign on the frozen lake. Grillers will pay a fee to take part in the event, with all proceeds going to Savory Sunday, a local effort to feed the needy.
Friday night at 5:30 and 8 PM, the Young Shakespeare Players will offer a production of George Bernard Shaw's "Great Catherine", a comedy about Russia's Catherine the Great.
