Thursday night from 6 to 8 PM, learn about the culture of Pakistan with presentations and performances by UW-Madison students from Pakistan, exhibits and delicious samples of traditional food. The event is sponsored by the International Student Services and will be held at 240 Union South. For details call 265-5236.

Thursday night from 5 to 7 pm in the Williamson Street Co-op Community Room (1221 Williamson Street) there will be a meeting of the Cooperative Action Congress aimed at building the local co-op movement.

Thursday night at 7:30 pm at the Crystal Corner (1302 Williamson Street) there will be a birthday tribute to Bob Marley and a Community Dance Party in support of the Winter Food Drive of the Wilmar Center. Live reggae music by David Hechts and Primitive Culture and Roots Collective, plus Marley selections from WORT’s Tropical Riddims Sound System DJ. Non perishable food donations will be accepted. A group of local artists will be showing their creative works in a collective "Verde Art" show at Manna Café and Bakery in Madison during the month of February. Manna Café is located at 611 North Sherman Avenue. Show hours will be Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturdays, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sundays, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information contact Kathy Esch at 220-9700.

OutReach has a new and exciting volunteer opportunity. They are looking for volunteers to join the youth programming committee to create & implement programming ideas to serve 18-24 year old members of the community. The national group VAST is out on a 30+ date national tour and will be in the Madison area tonight at 9 PM at the Annex. White Light Riot will also play. For details call 256-7750.

During the month of February, "Absolutely Art", located at 2322 Atwood Avenue will feature an exhibit by Nancy Welch and Judy Landsman. The show is entitled "Humor Us" and is an exhibit of assemblages made from found & gifted objects. This show will delight both young and old alike. For details call 249-9100.
