Wednesday eveningthe “Tunes on the Terrace” series presents “The Clyde Stubblefield Band” playing funk and r and b music. This is at 7:30 at Monona Terrace, One John Nollen Drive. Call 261-4000 for details.

Beginning Thursday there is a traveling art instillation entitled, “Light Mediation”. It is a by artists such as Barb Kirby and Debra Wheeler. It can be seen in the Rennebohm (read: Renn-e’-Bowm) Library at Edgewood College. Call 663-2263 for details.

A Madison tradition, the "Holiday Fantasy in Lights" is again lit up. NECA, IBEW 239 and others are sponsoring the display which are light pictures of many different holidays. It is a benefit for the “Second Harvest” food bank. This is in Olin-Turville Park through January first. Call 239-7888 for details.

The Urban Leagueof Greater Madison needs help improving the social economic conditions of African Americans, other communities of color and the disadvantaged. They need help with Academic Success, career exploration, home ownership and other programs. For details, or, to volunteer, call 251-8550, extension 28.

The Dane County Humane Society tries not to perform euthanasias on animals. As such, they are asking for people to consider adopting, sponsoring or providing foster care to an animal. They may also donate time, money or pet supplies to the shelter at 5132 Voges Road. Call 838-0413 for details.

The Women and Infant Children (WIC) Nutrition program offers a wide variety of services, food and nutrition information to help keep pregnant and breastfeeding women, infants and children under five years of age healthy and strong. For details call 267-1111.
