This week HospiceCare hosts an exploration of grief traditions from
around the world. Also today there is a presentation on Buddhist traditions by a Madison expert at noon. This is at the HospiceCare Center, 5395 East Cheryl Parkway. Call 327-7006 for details.

Tuesday night WORT hosts "First Tuesdays Reggae". Supa Ranks and His Rock-Stone High-Power; Tropical Riddims Sound System hold this monthly benefit for WORT. It is Cardinal Bar and Dancehall, 418 East Wilson Street at 8:00. Call 256-2001 for details.

Wednesday at noon the African Studies Sandwich Seminar hosts Michael Schatzberg, professor of Political Science at the UW-Madison speaking on "Election Monitoring in the Democratic Republic of the Congo." This is in room 206 of Ingraham Hall. Call 262-2389 for details.

Domestic Abuse Intervention Services is a non-profit agency dedicated to ending violence in the lives of domestic abuse victims and their children. They are currently looking for volunteers. Call Julia at 251-1237 for more information.

The Community Action Coalition Food Co-op helps people to manage their food budget. For a small advanced fee participants receive fresh food worth at least twice as much money. There are various pick-up dates and places, throughout Madison. Call Ken at 246-4730, extension 205 for more information.
