We are lucky to have internationally acclaimed photographer Joyce Tenneson join us with a special lecture and Q&A. She has thirteen books and over 150 exhibitions worldwide, Joyce Tenneson has been described as "one of the ten most influential women photographers in the history of photography." Registration is optional on facebook, attendance is free thanks to sponsors Canon Explorer's of Light and the UW-Madison Arts Department. Literacy Network is hosting English for Families on Mondays from 6-7:30pm through October 31st at the Goodman South Madison Branch Library at 2222 South Park St. This free program is open to all parents with free childcare provided for children, 2 years and older. Parents practice English while children play and then everyone will read together. Register for the class by calling 266-6395.

The City Clerk's Office will hold Voter ID information sessions on requirements of the new Voter ID law & how to obtain a free ID for voting purposes. Sessions will be held throughout Madison through December. To schedule a presentation for your group or to find out about the next session, contact the Clerk's Office at 266-4601.

Dane County residents can dispose of household hazardous materials free of charge, 7:30 am-2 pm Tuesday,Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, now until October 29th, at the Dane Co.
