Access to Independence celebrates new and improved location!! Access to Independence, a non-profit agency serving people of all types of disabilities and all ages in south-central Wisconsin is hosting an Open House at its new and expanded location. By moving to this new and improved space, ATI is excited to showcase an expanded Assistive Technology closet, new computer lab, fully accessible kitchen, and expanded conference space. Today at 2:30pm to 5:30pm with a ribbon cutting and remarks at 3:30pm. Speakers will include County Executive Joe Parisi. Come on down to

41st Annual Great Midwest Marijuana Harvest Festival is having meetings about town. Today,
Friday Sept 30 at The Frequency from 5-8pm, Saturday Oct 1 at Library Mall (intersection of State St and Lake St) from 11-7, Sunday Oct 2 at Library Mall from 12-3 with a march to Capitol from Library Mall at 3:30. The Wisconsin Association for Justice and the Center for Media & Democracy present a free film screening of the HBO documentary 'Hot Coffee' at 7:00 p.m., Friday, September 30, at the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery, 330 N. Orchard Street, on the UW-Madison campus. The event will include a question-and-answer period with the filmmaker and trial attorney Susan Saladoff, whose film details corporate attacks on the U.S. civil justice system. Come tour Lou Host-Jablonski's - October 1st. This year, Lou's passive solar straw-clay home will again be on the Midwest Renewable Energy Association's annual Solar Tour. This urban home integrates resource-efficient framing with advanced straw-clay infill. It uses natural materials to achieve an energy efficient, low-toxin and affordable home using low-impact materials and methods. The Malcolm Shabazz City School 40th Anniversary Celebration/Reunion will take place on Sunday, October 2 from 12:30 - 6 PM at the Warner Park Community Center 1625 Northport Drive. All past and present staff, students, families, volunteers, and friends are invited to attend this free event. Refreshments will be served and a program/open mic will begin at 2:30.
