This evening, the Colombia Film series continues with “Secrets of the Choco”. The documentary looks at the choices for development facing the Choco in Colombia, one of the largest relatively unspoiled rainforests on the planet. It still has thousands of undiscovered plants and animals, and contains undisturbed ancient forests and shorelines, but large scale development plans and the impending completion of the Pan American Highway threaten the future of the Choco and the lives of the blacks and Indians who live along the banks of its maze of rivers. This is in Room 336 of Ingraham Hall on the UW Campus at 6. For more information, email csn@igc.org.

This evening Rock River Communities hold a free rain garden workshop. Suzanne Wade, the Upper and Lower Rock River Basin Educator, will lead the group with information on planning a new rain garden and how to keep it growing strong all year long.
