Tonight at the Monona Terrace Rooftop, 1 John Nolen Drive, Dane Dances holds its weekly event. The music begins at 5:30 with DJ Lauri followed by The Jimmys, with another set by DJ Lauri, and finishing with Que Flavor. More information at danedances.org.

The Dane County Humane Society offers low cost spaying and neutering for dogs and cats. There are various times and prices and they include an FVRCP vaccine. Caretakers of feral or free-roaming cats can be helped as well. Call 838-0413 x103 for an appointment or details.

Tonight, the Madison Hostel hosts a Latin Music & Dance Fundraiser entitled “The Spice Is Right”. This features the farewell guitar performance of Madison’s own Jaime Guiscafre with Chris Bocast on ambient guitar Along with free lessons and performances by leading dance companies. Tomorrow, Madison Trust for Historic Preservation holds a walking tour of Madison’s historic neighborhoods on State Street, Mansion Hill East, and Bascom Hill. The interactive tours are given by experienced guides and conclude with a free treat at a local restaurant. The State Street tour begins at 10 am and meets in front of Michelangelo’s Coffee House, 114 State Street, and the Mansion Hill East tour begins at 11 am and meets in the Edgewater Hotel Lobby, 666 Wisconsin Avenue.
