Tomorrow, the Madison Area Peace Coalition hosts a peace vigil to Bring the Troops Home Now and End the War in Iraq. Participants are asked to bring signs and drums if possible. Tomorrow, Prairie Athletic Club and Sun Prairie Ice Arena host a Community Rally for Sunshine Place. Sunshine Place will replace the local food pantry and house multiple charitable organizations providing social services to those in need in the Sun Prairie community. The event features use of Prairie Athletic Club and Sun Prairie Ice Arena, prize drawings, Dolphins Cove Water Park passes, basketball, ice skating, special guests, a silent auction to benefit the Sunshine Place and more. Sunday is the Fourth Annual Courage to Teach Fundraiser. The event features various music by talented teachers, picnic food and drink, and a silent auction. Items include handmade arts and crafts collectibles, jewelry, food, and a variety of services all donated by local educators and those who support them. There is a minimum contribution and all contributions are tax deductible. This benefits Courage to Teach, a unique long-term professional development and renewal experience that provides educators an opportunity to affirm and renew their passion and authenticity as educators.
