Monday evening Olbrich Botanical Gardens features "Yoga in the Gardens" classes for people of all ages and abilities. Rick Camillo is the instructor. This is at 6:15 in 3330 Atwood Avenue. Call 246-6550 for details. There are also classes on Thursday mornings.

Monday and Tuesday evening Broom Street Theatre holds open auditions for its new production entitled, "Just Sit Right Back and You’ll Hear a Tale…" a comedy about what happens to people when they are told the wrong myths. This is at 7:00 in 1119 Williamson Street. Call 244-8338 for details.

The Olbrich Botanical Gardens presents a lavish display of live butterflies during its "Blooming Butterflies" exhibit. There are up to two dozen species including the Painted Lady’s, Swallowtails and Tropical Zebras from Chrysalis’s to emerging and free flying adults native to both Wisconsin and the Southern United States. It runs through August thirteenth in 3330 Atwood Avenue. Call 246-4550 for details.

The Dane County Humane Society tries not to perform euthanasia’s on animals. They have been spending almost six thousand dollars a week since the June fourteenth seizure of forty-eight pit bulls who were reportedly mistreated. As such, they are asking for people to consider adopting or providing foster care to an animal. They may also donate time, money or pet supplies to the shelter at 5132 Voges Road. Many Madison Seniors are not able to keep their own lawns trim and tidy. The Madison Coalitions of Older Adults Home Chore Volunteer Program is looking for people to help do this on either a one-time or on-going basis. For details call 243-5252 and ask for Nicole.
