THE
HISTORY OF August 23rd, I'm ___________________ .
And I’m_______________. Today in 1927: Italian immigrants Nicola
Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti are executed in Massachusetts. Seven years ago,
the two were among cynics who openly questioned the so-called
"suicide" of anarchist Andrea Salsedo in a Bureau of Investigation
office in New York.
Authorities quickly arrested Sacco and Vanzetti on charges of murdering a guard during a robbery. After today's electrocutions, trial records will suggest the two were framed because they were anarchists and foreigners.
