THE
HISTORY OF July 31st, I'm ___________________ .
And I'm
___________________ . Today in 1777: About a hundred Boston women march to the
warehouse of a merchant who refuses to sell his coffee at a reasonable price
during the Revolutionary War. When he refuses to deliver the warehouse key, the
women grab him by the neck and toss him into a cart.
Realizing he will
receive no quarter for the coffee, the merchant hands over the key. As a large
group of men watches in astonishment, the women hoist out the coffee
themselves, load it into carts, and leave.
